New paper on neighborhood deprivation and sleep
Dr Xiao published a new study on neighborhood socioeconomic deprivation and sleep and napping in the journal Sleep. The study found that residents of low SES neighborhoods are more likely to have short night-time sleep and excessive day-time napping. Moreover, the study also found that residents of neighborhoods with deteriorating conditions are also more likely to suffer short sleep at night. [Read Paper]​
